The 2 Coolest Music Vids of The Year

knixxvid.jpg

Spandex and female bodybuilders: the dreams of young boys everywhere.

Friendly Fires and KniXX are two of my favorite electropop dance hall funk bands as of late. Meshing great vocals with bare-bones music, they make you feel like your living in a Casio commercial. This week I bring you two of the most original videos I have seen all year.

First is Friendly Fires, a band I have gabbed about for months. They gifted us with a black background, foam party, cat-suit inspired video for "Skeleton Boy" earlier this year. One of the best songs off of their self-titled album released in 2008, this video which I brought you in January takes nothing seriously and everything brilliantly.

On a newer note and in the more colorful end of the spectrum is KniXX with "Good Girls, Bad Boys." This fella out of Berlin is not even locked in by any record labels, but he is already delivering club-quality tracks. He sasses it up a bit with white cat suits and color blocks of funk. Any guy who can wear a blue sequin suit and spit out gummy bears while singing pure pop is totally worth watching.

Check KniXX out after the click, and then send it to a pal ... you know as a hump day treat.
