If you're like me, the 22 episodes of "Rome" that HBO unspooled were some of the most gripping, shocking and intelligent hours you ever spent in front of the tele. Well, brace yourself for more war, blood and sex because the long rumored big screen adaptation is finally moving forward!
"It is no longer a smoke and mirrors rumor. The script is in full development," Titus Pullo portrayer Rat Stevenson told MovieWeb. "I can't wait to dust off the cobwebs of old Pullo. The guy is going to come in with a high body count. I love Pullo. I love him to pieces."
As for potential plots -- the series already covered Julius Caesar, Cleopatra and Marc Antony -- even Ray remains in the dark as series creator Bruno Heller works on the script. "That guy has a soft spot for Pullo and Vorenus," Ray says. "I don't think he will let the ball drop. I don't think he will disappoint. He never pulled his punches with the hard drama or the social status, or the action sequences. I completely trust him, and I can't wait to read his script once it materializes."
What say you fellow "Rome"ans, are you ready to forge back into battle?
